The IDaF in Düsseldorf

The language school IDaF – Institute for German as a foreign language – was founded in October 2007 in Düsseldorf. IDaF offers German language courses in which foreign applicants for a university place are prepared linguistically for studies at a German university or a technical college. Our German language courses are especially suited for university studies or the job.

The two founders Corina Blechschmidt and Katja Laemers both are looking back onto long-time teaching activities in the field of German as a foreign language for an institution of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. They set theirselves the goal to offer high quality language trainings that enable the participants to quickly qualify for a university place in Germany at fair prices. Furthermore, IDaF wants to impart cultural backgrounds neutrally in order to facilitate the orientation and integration in their new host country for all participants.

In cooperation with the AStA of the Heinrich-Heine-Universität, we offer a sport and leisure program. The teachers of IDaF are solely distinguished native speakers and tutors with teaching and research experience at universities and technical colleges inland and abroad. Even subsequent to the start of studies at a German university the IDaF teachers support our participants with study-accompanying courses and one-to-one trainings until they reached their university degree. On behalf of our complete team, IDaF supports the participants’ wish to study in Germany and is happy about every success!
